Slumped glass: Mask 1 (W x D x H: 23 x 15 x 5 cm)

The process of making this mask started with making a mould out of clay that was fired.

After applying a separating agent a piece of float glass was cut, and laid on top of the mould.

It was then put in the kiln at fusing temperatures. Subsequently the eyes were ground out.

The colours were then added with enamels mixed with water. For every colour another fire was needed.
