On this page we present some of our recent pieces.
Fused glass: F1 Bowl(∅ 30 cm)
This design was cut from permanent vinyl using a plotter. Very precise work was needed to make the result as beautiful as possible. The colours refer to Red Bull's Formula 1 team and to Max Verstappen (including the finish flag, number 1, the Dutch tricolour and orange).
Fused glass: Melted Bottles 7 x 18 cm (W x D)
The bottles in this picture were first melted in the kiln. Then they were painted with Color Line Paints. This paint is fired up to 740 degrees to get a glossy result. Special care was needed with the red paint or mixes containing it; to prevent the red colour from turning grey, the kiln was left ajar up to 500 degrees.
Fused Glass: Stock jars with lid(∅ 8 cm)
Fused Glass: Stock jars with lid(∅ 8 cm)
The lids were made from a melted marble with pieces of glass fused together underneath to prevent the lids from sliding off the jars.
Fused glass: Tree lamp (W x D x H: 12 x 20 x 30 cm)
To make the lamp's shade, lots of mostly green marbles were melted in the kiln. These were then wrapped in copper foil and attached together using soldering tin. A hole was left open in the centre to attach the top part to the base. The shade can be detached to replace a broken bulb (or LED or energy-saving bulb), if necessary.
