Pâte de verre: Small Green Bowl (W x D x H: 15 x 14 x 4.5 cm)

The little bowl on the photo was one of our first works. The model was made out of clay and then cast in a plaster mixture. When the plaster was dry, we removed the clay. The mould was then filled with glass granules mixed with wallpaper paste, and put in the kiln. After cooling down no grinding was possible, because of the thinness of the work.

Pâte de verre: White, Red and Green Bowl (∅ 20 cm)

The mould of the bowl in the picture was made of plaster and quartzite, which was poured over a plastic bowl. Making the mould took longer than expected, as each layer had to dry before the next layer could be applied. The mould was then filled with glass beads (partly recycled), mixed with wallpaper paste and placed in the recently acquired ceramic kiln. After cooling, the sharp edges were carefully ground off.
